We believe that there are a wide variety of industrial markets that will greatly benefit from a GPNS solution:
Corporate security
For example, as direct security devices placed on high value items such as earthmovers left out in the open in unsecured locations. Anyone walking anywhere near can be photographed and the local GPNS franchise will log all such calls, or, for the larger operation, the user may wish to have their own base station and control their own security, or again, the unit could be set to send to both a corporate base station and a GPNS franchise.
Institutional
Another good example is Highway Engineering wherein the system is perfectly positioned to permit the electronic data logging of highway defects, such as potholes, by unskilled employees; thus permitting a central log of such defects to be created at a convenient central location. Other examples are:
- Police use to record highway failure such as a pileup blocking the highway.
- Forestry use for the definition of trees to be logged by contractors.
- Estate management to log defects in, for example, fences in remote areas.
